U17 NATIONAL ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The DTFC athletes were finding the podium at the recent U17 Championships in Aberdeen.

The haul for the weekend saw:-

Shayna Asamoah gold in the 200m & silver in the 100m,

Matthew Tait gold in the high jump, Darcie Black gold in the long Jump, Silver in the 80m hurdles & bronze in the high jump,

Callum Newton silver in the 100m hurdles & high jump,

Sophie Thomas silver in the 100m,

Mya McMahon silver in the long jump.

There were also excellent performances from Kirstin Penman where she made both the 80m hurdles and 300m hurdles finals, Munro Strachan and Mark Harley in the 1500m and David Cuthbert in the 800m
